Hey everyone!
Unfortunately, the Recyclery had a sad start to the month. The rainy Canberra weather meant that we had to cancel our Swap Meet. We are so lucky to have our awesome staff member, Ying, soldier on through the rain and run our weekly sales. Keep your eyes peeled; we might have some new developments on rescheduling our Swap Meet soon…
We also said goodbye to our manager, Geordie… but only for a few weeks. He disappeared to Japan on a bikepacking trip with his son. So, make sure to ask him about it next time you see him! Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig thanks to Murray, who took on the managing duties for the last month!!
Unfortunately, we have also been victims of quite a few break-ins this month. So, that has meant that we do not have any e-bikes left in stock. If you’re the thief and you’re reading this (which you’re probably not), please stop breaking our shed fence and stealing our stuff. It makes us all really, really, really sad.
As I write this, I realise that I haven’t introduced the newest member of our team, Evan! Evan is joining the Recyclery as a community bike mechanic, and he is bringing loadssss of spunk to the role. Catch him helping us with bike repairs or at a Saturday morning sale. Be sure to check out what bike he’s riding to work. Evan is always kicking around on something cool!
Last weekend, we held our monthly social ride. It was epic! It also had our biggest attendance yet, with 21 people signed up!!! Shout-out to Shay and Scott — these two have made it to every social ride this year! The ride was fun but tricky. Things got a bit hectic as we rolled along Mt. Maj. We ended the ride at Spangled Drongos, which was a perfect end to a sunny Saturday. Next month’s ride is going to be waaaaaaaaay more chill and beginner-friendly. So, keep ya eyes peeled for that.
I'd be smiling like this too if I was in Japan right now!

Meet Evan!
Social ride vibes!
