Restricting sales to these days gives us time to repair more bikes to offer for sale.
Purchasing a bike from The Recyclery diverts waste from landfill and assists the Canberra Environment Centre’s community education projects.
We offer a 20% discount to full time students and concession card holders.

The Recyclery is a community bicycle repair workshop. We aim to give you the skills to maintain and repair your own bicycle.
Maintenance & repairs are held on Wednesday. This is your opportunity to access the workshop, use the tools, and get help and advice from our mechanics.
Bookings for maintenance & repairs can be made by email, phone or in person. Drop-ins will be accommodated only if there is availability. Please book beforehand to avoid disappointment.
The Recyclery has an extensive workshop with most of the tools you’ll need to work on your bike, plus stands to work at and a wide range of replacement parts (second-hand and new). We also have skilled mechanics and volunteers on-hand to help if you're stuck. While we don’t offer a bike repair service, we can teach you how to fix your own!
Cycle Jam – Book a time to fix your bike at the shed. Expert mechanics and volunteers will be on hand to help you. Free bookings, one hour slots, maximum booking is 2 hours per day. Wednesdays only.
Community Tools – We are a ‘pay-what-you-can-afford’ resource – usually between $10 and $40 per hour, depending on the tools used and level of assistance required.
Come in and use this great community resource to build your confidence in repairing your own bike, and gain the freedom to travel fossil fuel free without anxiety.

We have a fabulous team of volunteers at The Recyclery which the community are warmly invited to join us, no experience necessary!
If you love bikes and would like to help out, we are always looking for volunteers. It's a great way to learn more about how bikes work and how to fix them while meeting people and contributing to Canberra’s cycling community.
Volunteering with The Recyclery is also a great way to earn credit towards your own bike projects and repairs. We offer discounted prices on new components, discounted second-hand components and free use of the tools and workshop.
Fill in the application below or speak to one of team during business hours or chat with one of our volunteers at our monthly bike sales. We’d love to hear from you! Sign up to volunteer here.

Donating your old bike to The Recyclery gives someone else in the Canberra community the chance to buy a second-hand bike at a reasonable price. It also helps keep valuable resources out of landfill and in the local circular economy.
If you have a bike in reasonable condition that’s no longer being ridden and would love to see it go to a new home, drop it in and we’ll nurture it back to good health and pass it along to someone who needs it. The Recyclery is where pre-loved bikes get a second chance at life!
Please do not dump bikes and parts.
Donations can be made during any of our opening hours.
