Greening Your Finances: How Your Money Can Help Build a Better Future

Did you know your bank account, superannuation and investments could be shaping the future of our climate?

In a recent Canberra Environment Centre community survey, many people told us they wanted to better understand ethical banking, responsible investing, and how their money can align with their values. We're excited to respond with this free lunchtime webinar featuring two leading experts in sustainable finance.

Whether you're just starting to think about where your money goes or you're looking to take a deeper step into ethical and green investment and action, this practical session will help you understand how everyday financial decisions can create positive environmental and social change.

In this 45-minute webinar, followed by 15 minutes of audience Q&A, you'll learn:

• Why your money matters, and how financial institutions influence the world around us
• Which banks are supporting the energy transition and other environmental initiatives, and which continue to finance fossil fuel expansion
• How to understand where your retirement savings are being invested
• How shareholders can influence corporate behaviour and drive positive change
• Whether a financial adviser is right for you, and if so, what to look for when choosing one

Join us to discover how your everyday financial choices can become part of the solution. No financial background is required - just curiosity and a desire to make your money work for the future you want to see.
