learn about the turtles of the ACT

Bruno Ferronato (PhD) is an ecologist and turtle specialist, who works at the Ginninderra Catchment Group. He runs Turtlewatch ACT, which monitors turtles in Canberra with the help of volunteers. Bruno is originally from Brazil and has been involved in turtle research since 2004, working in Brazil, Peru, USA and Australia.

Bruno will talk about turtle biology and conservation, and the activities he and his volunteers have been doing to understand turtle population, distribution and protection in the ACT. These conservation activities are part of the Turtlewatch program, which is a citizen science project in Canberra, which monitors the Eastern long-necked turtle in the capital.  

The event will begin at 6 pm at Dissent Bar on 15 Sept, ticket prices vary between $5-10 each
