Boosting Canberra's Sustainability

Canberra Environment Centre and Conservation Council ACT Region hosted a Sustainable Canberra Community Candidate Forum in September 2024.

What a great sustainability event the Sustainable Canberra Community Candidate Forum was! We sincerely appreciated the positive, forward-looking tone and the shared passion for the environment and sustainability. We loved the topics covered, from circular economy (FOGO, waste-to-energy, recycling) to planning for our bush capital and beyond. About 20 members of the public attended and they were all keen to interact with their prospective MLAs.

A big thank-you to the CEC president Mia Swainson who coordinated the event, and thanks to the candidates and volunteers who helped make this event happen.
