🌏 4 December 2025– Challenging Power Structures for Planetary Health Equity: Hothouse 2025 Wrap-Up
The Planetary Health Equity Hothouse is closing out the year with its final Saving the World webinar: “Challenging Power Structures for Planetary Health Equity”. This free online event brings together Professor Sharon Friel, Dr Nick Frank, and Dr Hridesh Gajurel to reflect on 2025 and explore what real progress toward planetary health equity looks like. The webinar will highlight matters like “consumptogenic systems”, shifting policy paradigms for healthier governance and more.

🌱 5 December – SoilED Summer Arvo Picnic
You are invited to gather under the gum trees at Watson Microforest for a relaxed summer picnic hosted by our friends at See Change! There will also be soil-related DIY guides, a carbon capture workshop and more.

💡 6 December – World Soil Day
Get your hands dirty, and help regenerate our earth at Canberra City Farm’s World Soil Day celebration for a community-driven day of composting, pizzas, and soil-care inspiration.

🛠️ 7 December – Introduction to Tools

If you’re new to power tools and working in a workshop or simply want a refresher, Women’s Shed Canberra is hosting an introduction to tools workshop. You do not need prior gear or experience-how cool!

🌱 10 December – Bush Broadcast Summer webinar

Looking for an informative online webinar? Kick back and join Bush Heritage Australia as they host their Bush Broadcast. Together, there will be a discussion on biodiversity, ecosystems under threat and long-term vision of connected, and healthy landscapes!

🛋️ 13 December – Furniture Upcycling 101
With Women’s Shed Canberra, you could also revive old furniture and transform it. By doing so, you would be reducing waste and learn practical DIY skills!
