Women’s & Gender Diverse Cycle Jam🚲
On Wednesdays the 19th November and 10th of December, from 5pm-8pm, the Recyclery will host a Women’s & Gender Diverse Cycle Jam. It will be a friendly, hands-on workshop where everyone is warmly welcomed 🌈💪
This is a female-led, inclusive space designed to empower riders of all levels to get hands-on with their bikes. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned cyclist, this is your space to tinker, learn, and connect 🛠
💬No Experience Needed
Never changed a tyre before? Not sure how to adjust your brakes? Perfect. This is exactly the place for you! Our mechanics will guide on the side, so you can leave with a less-squeaky bike and little bit more know-how! Bring your own bike to work on or come along and lend a hand with others’ projects. No problem or question is too small, we’re all learning together!
💸 Donation-Based
This event runs on community spirit and mutual support. If you’re able, a small donation is appreciated to help cover tools and supplies, but absolutely no one will be turned away. Contributions can be made on the day via EFTPOS or cash.
🌻 Why We Do It
Cycling should be for everyone and and so should the knowledge and confidence to fix your own bike. This is a space to share skills, build community, and make the cycling world a more inclusive and welcoming place for all.
