Urban Foraging Walk

  • Jerrabomberra Wetlands Fyshwick ACT 2609 (map)

Susan Hutchinson is an avid forager, cook and has several blogs (including Susan's Sumptuous Suppers) and is keen to teach us how to find our own wild foods.

In this walk Susan will show us how to identify and collect wild fennel, rosehip, wild brassicas and other wild greens. This workshop offers a great opportunity to introduce more diversity and locally grown species into your diet.

Susan will also teach us how to use the various plants in both recipes and teas. Handouts with recipes provided.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, water and something to eat as there are limited facilities nearby.

This workshop is taking place to the south of the Jerrabombera wetlands. We will meet at the corner of Blueberry and Eyre Streets Kingston.
