Skin E-Dipping Workshop

Take a dive into the hands-on, Experiential waters of basic skin biology, cosmetic chemistry and the art of homemade soap products.

From becoming an ingredient detective to making cold pressed soap and shampoo bars, treat your body’s largest organ to the love and attention it deserves. 

Aim: to understand the basics of skin biology and its chemical needs and create a cold-pressed soap/shampoo bar from accessible ingredients.  

Outcomes: 

Describe key features of skin biology and outline the essential needs for skin to remain healthy.

Identify the role of various ingredients in common skin care products.

To create a cold-pressed soap/shampoo bar from everyday fats and oils.

Participants will need to wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and covered shoes. Participants will need to bring with them one skincare product (moisturiser, sunscreen, face wash etc.).
