Local Environment in Action

This is a community environment panel event for those interested in learning about local organisations.

Nature Talks at the National Botanical Gardens

Every Thursday, the Botanical Gardens hosts lunchtime talks about the diverse aspects of the natural world! These range from the magic of pollination to the conservation of turtles in Canberra.

These events are not ticketed, but it is recommended to reserve a seat due to popularity. The Botanical Gardens also welcomes gold coins and electronic donations.

Tidbinbilla School Holiday Programs

This is an introduction to bushwalking for children aged 6-11 years, and will be at the Congwarra track at Tidbinbilla

Plastic Free July Morning Tea

Plastic Free July is an international movement that encourages individuals to refuse single-use plastic. This morning tea offered by SEE Change will provide attendees with tips on how to replace unsustainable materials with reusables.

  • When: 1 July, 10:30 am – 11 am

  • Where: Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) Cafe, Civic Square, London Circuit, Civic

  • Cost: Free

Winter Clothes Swap & Clothing Repairs

Bring along 5 items of clothes and/or accessories that are clean and in good condition. OR, if you have items in need of mending, the Repair Cafe sewing team will be around

  • When: 4 July, 9 am – 1:30 pm

  • Where: Tuggeranong Uniting Church, Comrie Street, Wanniassa

  • Cost: Free

On The Edge - Film Screening

Due to popular demand, SEE Change is hosting a second screening of the documentary On the Edge by Trent Houssenloge of Cowboy Hat Films.

Branching Out: Parliament House Garden Walk

Come for a relaxing walk amongst the native gardens of Parliament House. This will be followed by a stargazing event led by Indigenous Astronomer and Proud Gamilaraay and Yuwaalaraay man, Peter Swanton

Branching Out: Wanniassa Hills Nature Reserve walk

Join local MP David Smith for a rejuvenating morning walk around one of the many beautiful nature reserves that Canberra has to offer.
